Alchemy Technologies is an AWS consulting firm based in Portland, Maine. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit alchemytechnologies.io or submit an inquiry about our services.
Scope
This policy applies to our public website and contact form only. If you engage us for AWS consulting, migration, managed cloud, security, or AI/ML work, separate contractual terms and data handling agreements may apply to project-related information.
Information we collect
Contact form: when you reach out, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), area of interest, and message. Website analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns (pages viewed, browser/device type, approximate geography, referral source). Infrastructure logs: our site runs on Amazon Web Services and may record standard technical data such as IP address, request timestamps, and browser user agent in CloudFront, API Gateway, or CloudWatch logs for security and reliability.
How we use your information
We use contact submissions to respond to inquiries, schedule conversations, and follow up about AWS consulting services you requested. Analytics help us improve the site experience. We do not sell personal information, rent mailing lists, or use your inquiry details for unrelated advertising.
AWS services
Our website and contact workflow are built on AWS. Form submissions are transmitted through Amazon API Gateway and AWS Lambda, and notifications are delivered via Amazon SES. Static content is served from Amazon S3 and Amazon CloudFront. These services may process data in the United States and operate under AWS privacy and security standards. We configure least-privilege access and encryption in transit (TLS) for these components.
Other third-party services
Google Analytics processes usage data according to Google’s policies. We may use Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form to reduce spam; when enabled, Google may collect interaction signals as described in Google’s reCAPTCHA privacy terms.
Retention
We retain contact form correspondence for as long as needed to respond, maintain a business relationship, or meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or archive it when no longer required.
Security
As an AWS-focused practice, we apply practical cloud security hygiene to our own stack: restricted IAM permissions, managed TLS endpoints, monitoring for errors, and minimal data collection. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect information using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards.
Your choices
You may choose not to submit the contact form. You can limit analytics tracking through browser settings or opt-out tools offered by Google. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold from a website inquiry, submit a message through the contact form on our homepage and describe your request.
Children
Our website and services are directed at business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy as our website or applicable requirements change. The effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
